FCMB Appoints Yemisi Edun As Acting MD
First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has announced the appointment of Mrs Yemisi Edun in acting capacity as a new Managing Director of the bank.
Mrs Yemisi Edun replaces Mr Adam Nuru as the bank’s substantive Managing Director while Adam Nuru proceed on a voluntary leave.
The bank made the announcement via a tweet from is official Twitter handle. The message reads:
“In line with normal corporate practice, Mrs Yemisi Edun is Acting as the Managing Director of FCMB in the interim period while Mr Adam Nuru is on leave.
“She has not been appointed as the substantive Managing Director.
“Thank you.“
Recall that Mr. Adam Nuru have recently been involved in a controversy surrounding his relationship with one of the ex-staff of the bank, Mrs Moyo Thomas.
Moyo Thomas was said to have had two kids out of wedlock for Adam Nuru. Moyo’s husband reportedly died of heart attack months after his wife informed him of the paternity of their two children.
Over 2,000 Nigerians already signed a petition calling on Central Bank of Nigeria to sack of Adam Nuru because of the incident.
