Lilian Ario’s ‘Petals of Life’ Set To Lunch In Lagos

Lilian Obiageli Ario, author of “Petals of Life,” is ready to launch her collection of poems. A veteran journalist, broadcaster, poet, accomplished crusader, Ario’s work will be celebrated at an upcoming event.
The event is scheduled for July 6, 2024, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa Ikeja, at 10 AM, the event is expected to attract high-profile individuals, captains of industry, academia experts, politicians, dignitaries, poets, and members of the press.
In a statement signed by the author and sent to our Waka About Africa, Ario expressed her excitement about the highly anticipated anthology, which poetry lovers and literary enthusiasts will have the opportunity to experience firsthand.
“‘Petals of Life’ is a captivating collection that delves into the multifaceted experiences of life, love, sorrow, death, and joy,” Ario stated.
She further explained that her collection is a rich exploration of life, filled with vivid imagery and various figures of speech. “My poems are rich in vivid imagery, personification, and similes, woven around human emotions and experiences, making each piece a testament to my literary prowess,” she added.
This inspiring and thought-provoking collection challenges readers to strive for better behavior while reminding them of their roots and the paths they have traveled.
Expectations are high, as guests will see Lilian discuss selected poems from “Petals of Life,” offering a glimpse into the heart and soul behind each verse. The event will feature two sessions, with guests also engaging the author to gain deeper insights into her creative process.

Lilian Obiageli Ario is a journalist, broadcaster, poet, wife, and mother. She is known for her ability to convey deep emotion and vivid imagery through her writing, expressing her feelings, emotions, pains, and happiness through poetry.
Currently, Ario works with Voice of Nigeria (VON) and serves as the Secretary of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos Chapter.
