BUSINESS TRUST AS LATITUDE FOR GROWTH

You can monitor and ensure employees deliver on their paid job junctions, but you cannot measure and totally engage their full commitment to the little extras they can offer, except by building a structure of mutual confidence and trust.

Human beings are assets on their own (human resources). The human capital of every organization! But I am of the belief that no organization can ever finish paying for the amount of ability or capacity of her employees. Or put differently, no organization can ever completely harness and pay for the full potentials of her employees. Potential is that indefinite factor that cannot be quantified or measured or forced out of a person. It is released according to the psychological state of the giver.
But the one true instrument that can really unlock the fullest potentials of every organization is that of trust; trust received and given willingly by the employees of the organization. This is were team- work and inculcation of a collective ownership mentality comes to play, rather than a master/servant relationship only knitted together by salaries and wages. Pay and compensation for work done should not be the only consideration to truly motivate worker in a company. Organizations must device other means to encourage workers and gain their inherent resourcefulness.
Trust unlocks more ranges of potential of the work force and the general performance expands as the levels of organizational trust cultures are improved. In the trust culture; every individual employee is “important to us” not just only to the extent to which we can exploit him/her for higher output or figures and justify our capitalist greed by asserting the wage and compensation trump card, but simply because we value your human essence. “You are first and foremost, a human personality with full rights and dignity to us before you become our worthy and appreciated employee” with certain spelled out expectations, duties and responsibilities. Another aspect is found in the simple philosophy that states that”we look for what is best in you-your skills and abilities and reward these with respect and honour, while we do emphasize what is weak and latent in you”. The third aspect is that we are a team that works towards a set goal and objective which we have collectively set for ourselves-we are not under any compulsion to do this, but we are psychologically, spiritually and physiologically motivated to do what we do”.
Lastly,” we are engaged in a noble cause, which we are innately convinced will serve to promote humanity and better the course of existence-while we also look forward to reward ourselves in the course of doing what we are naturally endowed to do best”.
