Soludo, Ezeokenwa Flags Off APGA’s Digital Membership Registration Process

… “It’s A New Era In Nigerian Political Party Management”

Prof Chukwuma Soludo, Anambra State Governor and Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has flagged off the digital membership registration process of the party.

In Isuoffia, Anambra State, a land mark event unfolded as the National Chairman of APGA and Governor of Anambra State, jointly launched the digital membership registration process.

In a release sent to Waka About Africa by his SA on media, Hon Nduka Anyanwu, said that the National Chairman of the party, Bar. Sly Ezeokenwa said this as he mark his first year in office, hinted about the flag-off, saying that under his leadership, APGA has become the first political party in Nigeria to implement the complete digitisation of its membership database.

He noted, “that from June I, 2024, we are launch a state-of-the-art mobile app for digital registration and introducing digital membership cards with an array of features.

“Stating that APGA digital membership cards offer numerous benefits, including a unique member ID, access to exclusive content, event notifications, and more,” Ezeokenwa stated.

“This pioneering initiative has revolutionised the way we engage with our members, making registration seamless, enhancing communication, and providing real-time updates.

APGA embarked on a groundbreaking digital transformation journey, introducing a pioneering digital membership registration system in Nigerian politics.

This innovative approach enables the issuance of unique digital membership cards, ushering in a new era of efficiency and streamlined processes.

The launch of the APGA app on various platforms, including Android, iOS, and other digital interfaces, offers a range of cutting- edge features, marking a significant milestone in the party’s history and paving the way for a more tech- savvy and connected future.

By introducing a digital registration process, APGA aims to streamline the membership enrollment process, enhance data accuracy, and improve communication with its members.

Digital membership registration can bring numerous benefits including easier access for potential members, efficient data management and improved engagement with party supporters. It can also help the party analyze membership demographics, track growth, and tailor their strategies based on accurate data.

This initiative reflects a forward- thinking approach towards party organization and membership engagement. It will be interesting to see how the digital registration system evolves and contributes to APGA’s membership drive in the future.

The APGA leader emphasized that this digital registration initiative is a key component of his leadership’s transformative Drive Agenda, aimed at revolutionizing the party’s operations. He also revealed that the APGA digital hub and foundation will be launched by the end of June, showcasing the party’s dedication to embracing technology and promoting inclusive governance, further solidifying its commitment to modernization and progress.

Meanwhile, in his response, Governor Chukwuma Soludo commended the innovative leadership of Barr. Ezeokenwa and his team. Highlighting the critical role of youth in shaping Nigeria’s future. He praised APGA for electing a young and visionary National Chairman, noting that the party has set a high standard for others to follow, cementing its position as a trailblazer in political innovation and progress.”

Governor Soludo’s participation as the first digitally registered member sets an important precedent and showcases the party’s leadership’s willingness to adopt innovative approaches. He said the process marks the beginning of the digital membership revalidation, and registration process for new members.

“This process is fully digital and will be the first of its kind in the history of political party membership in the entire country.

“In the coming days, the registration will go on simultaneously across various designated centres in all the political wards in the country.”

This groundbreaking digital membership registration initiative has setting a historic precedent for the party’s membership drive.

During the flag-off of the process , Gov. Soludo,  his wife, Dr Nonye and their daughter, Miss. Adaora Soludo, became the first to be captured in the digital membership registration portal.
